Use in hazardous areas
The iANT212 has been assessed by Extronics engineers as meeting the international intrinsic safety standards for simple apparatus. This means it’s safe to use in hazardous areas when connected to a suitable certified wireless device with an intrinsically safe RF output, such as the iWAP107 or other solutions using the iSOLATE501.
The iANT212 antenna cannot be used in the hazardous area when connected to an RF source that is not intrinsically safe.
Easy to mount
The iANT212 is small and lightweight for easy mounting, and attached directly to equipment via the N-type connector.
Optimised for WLAN installations
The iANT212 is optimised for use in WLAN installations in the 2.4GHz/5.8GHz spectrum for IEEE802.11 wireless networks or 2.4GHz/5.8GHz wireless mesh Ethernet networks.
Indoor and outdoor use
The iANT212 can be used both indoors and outdoors. It’s made from durable ASA plastic and nickel-plated brass, including an outdoor weatherproof N-type connector. Rated to IP68 and with a temperature range of -40°C to +85°C, the iANT212 is suitable for most applications.
Gain and directionality
The iANT212 offers near-spherical patterning with a gain of up to 2.5dBi, with excellent 360° coverage in both azimuth and elevation.
